16th March - second update

Good evening.

I'm sure you will have seen the news by now. We need to follow the measures stated in order to keep our whole school community as safe as possible.

The updated advice given by the government is:

If your child has a new persistent cough they must now stay at home for 14 days.

If one person in the house has the symptoms, everyone in the house should remain at home for 14 days.

This means that you should not go out to any public places - shops, playground, park... etc.

We will send children home if we consider that they may be showing symptoms. Should this be necessary, we would appreciate your support in making sure this happens quickly.

At the moment schools have not been directed to close. We will aim to remain open until we are directed to close.

Immediate advice from us:

If your children are at home, PLEASE monitor their internet use to ensure that they stay safe and kind online.

If you are lucky enough to have a back garden, get the children outside if they are well enough, for as long as possible! Otherwise, keep the windows open.

We will add further updates as soon as necessary.

Thank you for your cooperation. Look after each other!

Ms Elliot
