Activities for Tuesday

Tuesday 28th April 2020

Good morning, Year Two! I hope that you are all well. Did you enjoy learning about sunflower plants yesterday? You are doing so well with your home learning…keep it up! Did you see the fitness video? Did you spot yourself? There was a photo of me in there too!

Activities for today!

Englishdo you remember when we learnt about Window for book week? Today, I would like you to design a view from a window. Use your imagination – it can be a view of anything! I have set a 2Do on Purple Mash, where you can design a view from a window.

- then, I would like you to write a poem about what you can see through the window that you have designed. Take a look on the class handouts page for my example about a castle! Try to use lots of interesting adjectives to help the reader imagine what the view from the window looks like.

Maths – following on from yesterday, I have uploaded some division problems on the class handouts page.

- please also spend some time on TT Rock Stars.

Science – a habitat is the home or environment of an animal or a plant. Can you think of any habitats? Ask an adult to help you research different habitats. Can you find out what animals and plants live there? Maybe you could draw some pictures of animals and plants in their habitats!

I hope that you enjoy these activities. If you are looking for something else to do today, then have a look at the 'various activities' folder on the class handouts page. Have a wonderful day!
