Another Sunny Day!

Thursday 21st May 2020

Good morning, Year Two! I hope that you are all well. It looks like it is going to be another sunny day today! The plants in my garden have needed lots of water.

I am very impressed with the work that you have handed in on Purple Mash so far this week. Yesterday, you thought carefully about what the little old man might say to the other characters in the story 'The Enormous Turnip'.

Activities for today!

English – now that you have read ‘The Enormous Turnip’ a few times and are familiar with the story, I would like you to design your own character to add to the story. This new character will also help to pull the turnip out. I have set you a 2Do on Purple Mash, where you can draw a picture of your character and write about them. Don’t forget to use lots of adjectives!

- spend some time reading and on Spelling Frame.

Maths – this week we are looking at measure in Maths. Today, your task is to measure liquids using millilitres and litres. You could use a measuring jug, or you could pour water into containers and put them in order of least to most. Make sure that you ask an adult first.

- I have also uploaded a worksheet for you to complete.

- spend some time on TT Rock Stars and practise your times table club sheet.

Science – I have uploaded a turnip growth sequencing sheet for you to complete. Draw and write about what happens as a turnip grows.

Have a super day, Year Two!
