Day four – have a great day!

Thursday 26th March 2020

Hello to all of you! I hope that you are all working hard, having fun and enjoying the lovely sunshine! Thank you for handing in your work on Purple Mash – it really is wonderful to receive your work throughout the day, and to read about what you are doing. You are working very hard, and I am extremely proud of you all!

It is now the start of Spring. If you can, get outside in the garden and see what living things you can spot (plants, insects, birds etc.). You could keep a record of everything that you see, and you could ask someone at home to help you research the living things that you see. Logon to Purple Mash and complete the 2Do that I have set. Please draw a picture and write about what you saw today. I can’t wait to see your work!

Activities for today!

English – start by practising some spelling patterns on Spelling Frame.

- over the next few days, we are going to be writing an adventure story! Today, I would like you to design a main character for your story. I have uploaded a template for you to use on the class handouts page. You can print it out if you want to, you can type straight into the document, or you can write it out on paper – it’s up to you! Think about what your character looks like, and what they are like as a person. Can you use some interesting adjectives to describe your character? Can you use adjectives in a list? Can you use –less or –ful suffixes?

Maths – logon to TT Rock Stars. Can you improve your speed and accuracy?

- draw/make your own analogue clock (see class handouts for an example). Practise telling the time throughout the day.

I really do hope that you have a wonderful day!
