Friday 24th April 2020
Hello, Year Two! I hope that you have enjoyed completing the activities that I have set this week. Well done for all of your hard work. Thank you for handing in your character descriptions yesterday – I really enjoyed reading them!
Activities for today!
English – on Fridays, we usually have a spelling quiz, so today I would like you to practise spelling patterns on Spelling Frame and on Phonics Play. Then, take a look at the spelling resources on Purple Mash (type ‘spelling’ in the search bar, and click on Year 2). Have a go at some of the spelling quizzes. Can you improve your score? You could also practise spelling the KS1 common exception words, which are on the class handouts page.
- make sure that you spend some time reading. Find a book that you would like to read on Oxford Owl or on Serial Mash.
Maths – today is the last day of the TT Rock Stars battle. I have seen that lots of you have been logging on and practising those times tables. Well done!
- on the class handouts page, I have uploaded some multiplication activities that you can choose from.
Geography – yesterday, you were researching farms. I have set a 2Do on Purple Mash, where you can draw a picture of different animals that live on a farm. If you click on ‘Abc’ at the bottom, you can also write a sentence to go with your farm picture. You could tell me something that you have learnt about farms.
Have a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend! I will be posting more activities for you to complete on Monday.
