Good morning Year 5 and your families...I really hope you are all staying safe by staying at home and washing your hands. It looks like it's going to be a warm weekend so you'll be able to get out in the fresh air and burn off lots of that energy!
Did you clap for key workers at 8pm last night? Most of my street were out clapping - it was great!
Focus: subordinate clauses. We have done lots of work this year on complex sentences/main clauses/subordinate clauses. Look at the powerpoint and use the examples to practise making subordinate clauses and using them in different places within sentences.
Remember to keep up your reading as well please..at least 30 minutes every day. It's REALLY important.
Spend some time on TTRockstars and Prodigy Maths today. If you didn't see the Prodigy Maths post from yesterday, have a look as some of us set up our accounts on Prodigy Maths at school, but many of you were absent so there are instructions as to what to do.
We are all using technology lots while we are not at school, so it is even MORE important that we know how to keep ourselves safe online. I have set a 2Do on Purple Mash linked to online safety so please have a go!
So, that's another week passed, with us all keeping ourselves safe at home. We really hope you are all being good for your grown-ups as this is a tricky time for them too, helping around your homes by doing jobs (keeping your rooms tidy, washing up etc)...in fact we would love to see photos of you on our Year 5 Purple Mash blog helping around the home. Take a photo of yourself helping out and share it with us all.
Have a lovely weekend and stay well. Can't wait to see you all again very soon.
