I'm sure you have all seen or heard the news tonight - that all schools will close from the end of the day on Friday, other than to children of 'key workers' and 'vulnerable children'.
It is not yet clear how long this closure will last.
We WILL be open tomorrow for all the children who are not self-isolating with their families. We would like to see as many of the children as possible!
At the moment, this is all the information I have. I am waiting for clarity either from the Government or the Local Authority on which parents are classed as 'key workers' and how we can support our 'vulnerable' children.
I will share any further information with you as soon as I have it.
From tomorrow each teacher will begin to post activities for the children to do at home.
I've spoken to several parents tomorrow...here are a couple of suggestions that they thought were a good idea to share!
1. Make a timetable for the day. Get up and get dressed so that there is a clear start to the day.
2. Teachers will send a range of activities and ideas for you to work through with the children across the week. Plan them out - and don't try to do everything all in the first day or two.
3. Limit online/tv time - constant screen-time really causes problems with sleeping - and you will definitely want the children to sleep at night!
We had a fantastic 'instant' response to our pop-up Food Bank collection this morning. Miss Roberts and Mrs Cook took all this to the Well Lane Food Bank in Wednesfield. They were so grateful...they are finding it very difficult to meet demand, so THANK YOU!
Look out for tomorrow's post...we will have more information to share with you.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
