Good morning Year 5...today is a special day for the patron saint of England, St.George, who legend says fought and killed a dragon!
It's another perfect day for getting outside to enjoy the sunshine and burn off some of that energy that we know you all have lots of!
Read the Powerpoint which will tell you all about the legend of St.George. There is also a reading comprehension based on St.George and the dragon. Please remember to read for at least 30 minutes each day..you could use Oxford Owls, Purple Mash or you can access books online from Wolverhampton libraries.
We really need to keep practising our key maths skills, Year 5, so today there are some short division practice sheets for you to complete. Look at the powerpoint first of all to refresh your brains then have a go at completing the short division questions. Post some of your work on our Purple Mash blog so we can see how you've got on!
Design Your Own Dragon
We have seen from some of your Purple Mash posts how creative you are, Year 5, so here's your chance to develop those skills even further! Today, to link to St.George's day, please design your own dragon and describe its special powers. Please upload your dragons onto our Purple Mash blog to give myself, Mrs.Moore and Mrs.Turner a fright!!!!
Have a super day Year 5...missing you all lots. Please remember to send your fitness photographs to the email address as soon as possible - I'll be sending mine!
Hope you'll all be clapping/banging your pots and pans for all of our NHS staff/carers/key workers at 8pm tonight. I certainly will be! Make some noise!!
