Let's Walk to School KS2

Hello Long Knowle Eco Warriors! Monday and Tuesday this week we will focus on why it is important to walk to school. We know that currently many of you are still working from home and are not walking to school but we hope we can all be together again in the future. You may also want to take this lesson and think about any small, unnecessary journeys you may make in the car when walking is also an option. This video is a reading of the story and also includes a demonstration of why it is important to reduce air pollution. You will learn about how air pollution affects polar bears in the North Pole. This is suitable for the older children in our school. Please see the other post for just the book reading, which is more suitable for our younger children.

We hope you enjoy the story and the activities your teachers set you. Mrs Morgan- Smith and Miss Lawford will be setting some fun tasks based upon the book and we would love to see landscape pictures of your work sent to us at homelearning@longknowleprimary.co.uk by Friday 19th June to be included in our Eco Warrior Showcase!

Have fun :)
