Newsletter! 18th September 2020's been another busy week at Long Knowle!

All the children have now settled back into school life..and our curriculum is back to full swing!

The children have been looking at the work of the artist Darrell Wakelam - next week we'll share some photos of the work the children have been doing.

Reception children had their photograph taken today for the WEDNESFIELD MAGAZINE - look out soon for their happy little faces!

We have finally been able to open our new play equipment to the children - with lots of handwashing, of course! All the children have had an opportunity to use it, during lesson time and on a rota at lunchtime. There are some challenging bits of equipment!

Obviously this is ONLY for use during school time!

It looks as though Wolverhampton is going to be in a 'household lockdown' situation from next week.

This means that each household must stay separate and must not mix in each other's houses or gardens.

At the moment schools are NOT affected by this. If families stick to the Government's instructions, that will help to keep schools open.

We will continue with all our in-school measures to keep the children in 'bubbles' and to continue with extra hand sanitizing and cleaning. PLEASE make sure that you do your bit by NOT letting the children go to each other's houses and gardens. If we can get it right now, hopefully that will stop any further measures being put into place.

If we do have to provide home-learning again, we really need to know about what internet access you have, and what devices your child can use.

The Government is promising additional help to provide more equipment.

PLEASE complete the INTERNET ACCESS form by Monday morning, if you haven't already done it....nobody will be making any judgments; we just want to be able to support your children in the best ways possible.

We also REALLY need to you to complete the CONSENT form - 170 of you already have - so THANK YOU!

This helps us to know which children can take part in all sorts of activities - please complete it for us!

Covid-19 Symptoms

If you think that your child or any member of your household has Covid symptoms, you MUST not send them into school.

Please read the info on the 'Important Information' page called 'Covid-19 Pupil Absence Guide' for more details. We sent you a paper copy of this last week.

If anyone in your household has a POSITIVE TEST you MUST inform the school immediately, either by telephone on 01902 558985 during school hours or by email to - this account is checked regularly for emergency information.

Thanks for your ongoing support - keep reading the website!
