Something new is coming out on Monday for the children to support their learning at home!!
Look out on here on MONDAY MORNING for a new video!
The teachers have been working hard together (online!) to put together a WHOLE SCHOOL PROJECT.
You’ll have to wait until Monday to find out what it’s all about!
There will be some work to do and some things to try out. Many of the ideas can be done AS A FAMILY so that if there are children of different ages, they can work together.
We are moving forward with how we share work with the children. We didn’t really expect to be providing online home learning for this long! Many children will be continuing to work at home during the Summer Term and we want to be able to support you with this.
Most of the work and ideas will come out to you on PURPLE MASH. Every child has a Purple Mash account.
This means that we can see who has tried to do some of the work, and we can let you know how well the children are doing!
Many of you have been working really hard on the home-schooling activities - there are still 6 weeks left of the Summer Term – and all the children need to be doing some home learning.
Hopefully this new topic will support you all.
Teachers won’t be posting in the class folders from Monday. Videos will be shared on THIS news and updates page – everything else will be on Purple Mash.
On Monday we will send you an EMAIL with some tips on how to use Purple Mash and how to support your child if you find using Purple Mash is a bit tricky.
So...check on here on Monday morning to see what's new!
Back to school update...
From Monday 8th June we will be open to the children in Y1 whose parents have chosen for them to come back, and to the Y6 pupils and key worker and vulnerable children who have already been attending.
As long as it is safe to do so, we may then continue to open to other year groups. We will keep those parents who have opted for a place informed of possible start dates as they are confirmed.
Please continue to follow the guidelines which will help to keep all of us safe – please maintain social distancing and hand washing as you are out and about, and follow the guidelines about so-called safe numbers.
Thank you for your ongoing support – you are all in our thoughts.
Ms Elliot and the Long Knowle Staff.
