Good Morning Year 3!
I hope you're all okay. I hope you're enjoying our English work based on Flat Stanley's adventures in Canada! I think the story is about to get really exciting!
Here is an overview of activities for you to have a go at today:
Session 1: SPaG
Start your day by having a go at a little challenge that involves apostrophes being used to represent missing letters.
Session 2: English
Read Chapter 6 of Flat Stanley’s Worldwide Adventures: The Intrepid Canadian Expedition! Then, can you write some sentences that contain two adverbs?
Session 3: Maths
Listen to our 7s song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCqdHYW5x5o
Then, try the 7 times tables’ challenges on the Year 3 webpage, before attempting today’s work on measuring lengths.
Session 4: Religious Education
Reflect upon the Christian celebration of Easter and the Easter story. Can you write a retelling of the Easter story, and think about the important message that it contains?
Session 5: Story Time
Listen to, and enjoy, the second part of ‘The Little Mermaid’ by Hans Christian Andersen.
Today's quote is from 'Winnie the Pooh' by A. A. Milne. It encourages us to think of small things in our lives that we really appreciate. It might be a hug from a grown-up that you live with, a delicious, chocolate biscuit that you eat before bed or a teddy bear that makes you happy. Can you think of something small in your life that you are grateful for?
Have a lovely day Year 3!
Miss Meakin :)
