Morning Year 5! I hope you and your families are well. It's been great talking online to a few of you on the Year 5 Purple Mash blog...if you haven't posted yet, please do so as we love seeing your faces and finding out what you are up to.
So, today's learning...do try your very best to complete the tasks we are setting as it is so important.
Firstly, get some exercise by joining in with Joe Wicks - it's a great way to exercise with other children across the country and I really hope you're getting your grown-ups to join in too! (Ha Ha)
Revision of word classes (nouns, verbs etc.) as we often find this difficult in lessons! There's a Powerpoint for you to revise what they are (lots of clips on YouTube if you can't open Powerpoint!) then I have put a Purple Mash 2Do for you to complete. Of course, reading your book for 30 minutes daily is vital too. Do it outside - another beautiful day!
Adding fractions with different denominators (because I know how much you LOVE doing this in class!!!! ha ha). Again, look at the Powerpoint first then I have put lots of practise activities in the folder for you...just choose a couple to complete OR do them all if you're feeling like it!
Revision of our work on Forces - Watch the BBC video link:
then there is a 2Do on Purple Mash for you to complete where you need to think about the forces acting on objects.
Finally, many of the London museums which are closed at the moment are offering virtual tours of their galleries so why not take yourself on an 'imaginary' trip to London today and see what they have for you to look at.
Have a great day everyone! Remember to stay at home with your family so that we can all get back to normal as quickly as possible, but please DO get out into the fresh air as it is so very important for your health. Take care and stay well Year 5.
