Happy Tuesday Year One!

Well done to all those that completed the 2Dos on Purple Mash yesterday. I was very impressed with your work!

Today is going to be another lovely sunny day, so please try to find time for some exercise and fresh air. Joe Wicks (The Body Coach) is streaming live PE lessons every morning at 9am on Youtube. Its a great way to start the day and lots of fun too! Here is the link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rz0go1pTda8

For today's home learning I encourage you to create a timetable if you haven't already and to work through the 2Do's I have set on Purple Mash. Remember you want to try to aim for 30 minutes Phonics, 30 minutes Writing and 30 minutes Maths. Don't forget to also spend some time reading, being creative and being active.

Activities for the day!

Phonics - Can you find the ‘ea’ sound on your sound mat. What is the action? Can you write a list of words using the ‘ea’ sound?

https://spellingframe.co.uk/spelling-rule/119/7-ea1 - Listen to the sentence and sort words into the ‘correct’ and ‘incorrect’ spelling boxes. Remember to sound out words you are unsure. Some of them might be alien words.

Writing/Science - In Science last week, we begun looking at our 5 senses. Can you remember the 5 senses? Can you remember what body part is linked to which sense?

I have set you a 2Do on Purple Mash - think about being on the beach like a pirate! Can you write what you think you might see, hear, smell, taste and feel?

Maths - Login to Numbots and complete activities.

I am also setting you a CREATIVE challenge! Today I would like you to construct a pirate ship! We have been reading lots of stories about pirates and have learnt lots about them over the Spring term. You could build your ship using lego, playdough, blocks or even cardboard boxes. Think carefully about what different features a pirate ship has.

I have set a 2Do on purple mash where you can insert a picture of your pirate ship (by pressing the green arrow in the drawing box) and can write a sentence telling me how you made it. I can't wait to see your creations!

Have a great day and I hope you enjoy completing today's activities.
