Week 2 - let's keep going!

Monday 30th March 2020

Good morning Year One!

I hope that you have all had an enjoyable weekend and you are keeping safe at home.

Activities for the day!

Phonics - Can you find the ‘ear’ sound on your sound chart? What is the action? Can you write a list of words using the ‘ear’ sound? Play the spelling tiles game, match the initial sound to the ‘ear’ sound to spell the word you hear - https://spellingframe.co.uk/spelling-rule/143/30-ear

English – Zara and the Lost Cat On Purple Mash, you now have access to the ‘serial mash’ section. This has lots of books to read and reading related activities. I have set you a few 2dos focusing on the story ‘Zara and the Lost Cat’. You can begin by reading chapter 1 and complete the activities I have set that are linked to that chapter.

Maths – I have set you a 2do on Purple Mash. Can you answer the questions about the 10’s frame? There may even be some questions about a 20’s frame. Remember you can always draw a 10's frame to help you if you need to.

Geography - Can you name all of the UK countries? What country do we live in? I have set you a 2do on Purple Mash – can you correctly label all the countries in the United Kingdom?

Don't forget, spend some time getting some exercise too!

I hope you all have a lovely day and enjoy completing the activities I have set.
