Good Morning Year 3!
Even though the sun isn't shining today, I hope you're managing to stay positive and happy and that you're looking forward to another day of learning!
Here's an overview for your learning for today:
Session 1: Handwriting
Start your day by having a go at some handwriting! Today, I would like you to practise separating the letter g from the next letter in a word.
Session 2: English
Let’s read Chapter 7 of Flat Stanley’s Worldwide Adventures: The Intrepid Canadian Expedition! Jeff Brown uses lots of sophisticated words in this chapter. Can you find out the meanings of some sophisticated words that he uses, and then put them into sentences?
Session 3: Maths
Sing along to our 8 times tables’ song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmw4V_oz6gc
Then, have a go at the 8 times tables’ challenges on the Year 3 webpage, before attempting today’s work on measuring lengths.
Session 4: Geography
Today, I would like you to do some research about Canada! Can you find out three fascinating facts about Niagara Falls, The Canadian Rockies, the Northern Lights and Quebec?
Session 5: Story Time
Listen to, and enjoy, the third part of ‘The Little Mermaid’ by Hans Christian Andersen.
Today's positive quote is all about believing that something wonderful is about to happen! Magical things always happen when you least expect them to!
Stay positive and keeeeeeep learning!
From Miss Meakin :)
