I hope that you're all well and that you're keeping yourselves safe, during this difficult time. In this post, I will explain a little bit more about how your children will be educated from home, as of next week.
Starting from Monday 23rd March 2020, every day, I will upload video clips, work and activities for children to watch and complete, whilst they are working from home. Everything I upload will align with the suggested daily timetable that I have uploaded onto the Year 3 'Classwork - Handouts' page. By helping your child to follow the daily timetable, and complete the activities, you will allow them to continue to learn, grow and develop, just as they would if they were at school. You will also ensure that they will be kept busy for a number of hours each day too!
If you find that you have gaps to fill during each day, or if you want to keep your child busy at the weekends, they can visit the following educational websites:
Times Tables Rock Stars
Hit the Button
Both of these are great websites for encouraging children to learn and practise their times tables!
Oxford Owl Reading
This website is fantastic! It contains many free, downloadable ebooks for children of all ages to read and enjoy!
On this website, children can play fun games, whilst they learn to spell key words from the National Curriculum.
Through this website, children can revise what they already know, and learn new information, about a range of different subjects!
We know that we have a tricky few weeks ahead, but it is so important that we work together to do what is best for our wonderful children. They deserve and need to be educated, whatever is happening in the world, and I promise that I will do my absolute best to help them to keep learning and to keep smiling - for however long this lasts!
Let's take care of ourselves, and stay strong! We can do this!
