Long Knowle Primary School is in Wednesfield – in the City of Wolverhampton. We are a one form entry primary school catering for children from age 3 -11 - nursery to year 6.

At Long Knowle, we support all our children to Learn, Know, Progress and Shine! In their time with us, we want our children to achieve their full potential and make good progress within the curriculum and strive to be the very best they can be! We aim to bring learning to life and immerse children in an enriching, challenging and enjoyable curriculum that builds on children’s prior knowledge and develops the skills they need to become life-long learners and make a positive contribution to their local community and beyond.

When your child joins Long Knowle Primary School, we want them to have a secure sense of belonging and feel part of the Long Knowle family. We look forward to working together with our families to ensure the best outcomes for all. Positive, supportive relationships are at the heart of what we do. Your child’s well-being is important to us – we want them to feel supported, motivated and challenged and develop a confident “can do” attitude towards their learning. We encourage hard work – we don’t mind mistakes! They are all part of learning!

Everyone is welcome in our school community and we promote mutual respect and trust between children, staff and families. We are inclusive and promote empathy and sensitivity towards each other’s needs, emotions, culture and beliefs. We are caring and kind and support each other. We are all unique and different and that is what makes Long Knowle a great place to learn and grow!

If you would like to visit Long Knowle, please contact the school office. We would love to show you around!

Our School Values

We encourage Long Knowle children to follow our school values and do things RIGHT!

Respect – We want all our children to have self-respect, respect for others and their right to learn and respect for the environment around them and beyond.

Inspiring – We want all our children to be inspired by learning and aim to do the best they can in everything they do. We are impressed by the effort, not the outcome!

Growth – We want all our children to have a growth mindset. To not be afraid to have a go at new things, not be afraid to make mistakes and to know that learning takes continued effort and persistence!

Honesty – We want all our children to be honest. Honest with themselves and honest with each other – tell the truth and be truthful.

Teamwork – We want our children to work together. Valuing and respecting everyone, listening to and sharing ideas, understanding and respecting everyone’s point of view.

Our school rules are simple:
1)     I will always follow instructions from adults in school.
2)     I will keep my hands, feet and unkind words to myself.
3)     I will always try my best.

Mrs J. Bond
